Marble Types & Marble Models

Marble is a natural product that has been used in interior and exterior decorations for centuries. It is used at many points of home decoration, from kitchen and bathroom countertops to windowsills placed in front of windows. Architects enrich every environment where it is used with marble varieties with different colors and textures, while giving a warmer and more intimate appearance. Marble varieties, which are found in many points of buildings, from stairs to wall coverings, are especially preferred for kitchen and bathroom floors, which are called wet floors. This is because it is both durable, waterproof and easy to hygiene and clean. Deformations do not occur on the surface when the product remains moist.

Marbles are honed or polished during installation. Although polished surfaces provide both a flashy and shiny appearance, they are very slippery on wet floors. For this reason, honed marble should be preferred when using marble on wet floors. Since it has a superior durability, it is used more than wood for floor covering. Marble varieties, which are the primary choice almost everywhere with their long-lasting and durable, provide a more elegant appearance to all decoration pieces with their natural and noble state. The material is also preferred in interior decoration of the house such as coffee tables, tables, floor coverings.

Marble types and names vary according to their color or the location where they are mined. There are marble types with general characteristics such as black marble, white marble, gray marble, beige marble. In general, marbles are grouped by color, but each marble also has its own name. Although their distinctive features such as color are different, all marble types are physically the same except for some minor differences in terms of quality, durability and ease of use. The material, which is given a brighter appearance with the polishing technique of marble models, preserves its existing pattern and color as the first day, even after years.

Turkey is rich in potential natural stone reserves. Located in the Alpine Himalayan Mountain Belt, Turkey has favorable conditions for the extraction of the product. Turkish marble quarries and marble factories, which are in a constant state of development with the financing of private sectors and R&D studies, are among the most important marble producers in the world with their financial and technological investments. The introduction of modern quarrying methods and the production of natural stone using the latest techniques have made Turkey one of the seven largest natural stone producers in the world.

Today, there are more than 120 marble reserves in Turkey in different patterns and colors and more than 80 marble reserves in different structures. 90% of the marble quarries are located in Marmara, Aegean and Central Anatolia, but there are also high marble reserves ready for processing in Eastern Anatolia due to its mountainous structure. Afyon, Balıkesir, Burdur, Amasya, Antalya, Diyarbakır, Isparta, Bilecik, Elazığ and Denizli are the provinces where Turkey's main marble factories and quarries are located.

Marble types can be grouped as follows:

According to geological structure; sedimentary, metamorphic, magnetic,

According to its structure and texture; schist, breccic, massive and laminal,

According to mineral grains; large grained, coarse grained, medium grained and fine grained,

According to the mineral composition and the ratio of this composition; it is divided into three as skarn, calcchist and spolene.

In cases where marble requires special workmanship or sizing, prices may vary according to the fineness of the work. For preferences in special sizes or shaped cuts, price information should be obtained by contacting the company that will undertake the work. The prices of domestically produced marbles and marbles imported from abroad are revised every day according to the fluctuations in the daily exchange rate. For this reason, marble prices may vary even from day to day. You can contact us for current marble prices.

Marble Colors

Marble colors are usually white and gray. However, due to foreign active substances, marbles can also be blue, black, yellow, pink, dark gray and red. Due to their natural stone structure, the products are produced in many colors from pure white to onix black. Its natural character makes each marble model special and unique. The material is applied to all desired places regardless of interior and exterior spaces. One of the biggest reasons why we encounter many different marble colors is minerals. Minerals enable marbles to have different colors as well as different patterns. For example, marbles containing hematite are red, those containing limonite minerals are yellow and those containing serpentine are green. Marble colors also change due to the calcite granules in which different minerals undergo metamorphosis and the high temperature and pressure they are exposed to during this process, and the product has unique colors. Marble colors are also called specific to each color under generalizations such as black, white, beige.

Some of these are;

Bianco Royal Marble, Uşak White, Uşak Yellow, Yatağan Pink Dream Marble, Toros Rose Marble, Mustafakemalpaşa White, Karacabey Black, Harmankaya Beige, Marmara White, Denizli Pink, Sarıcakaya Beige, Uşak Green, Vize Pink, Ivory Beige, Camelyon Leopard, Toros Beige, Milas Lemon, Dove Feather, Diyarbakır Pink, Sazara Mother-of-Pearl Marble, Aegean Brown, Aegean Maroon, Taurus Black, Burdur Almond, Bursa Beige, Söğüt Gold, Eflani Beige, Bilecik Rose Dry, Hazar Pink, Burdur Brown Marble, Surren Marble, Muğla White, Manyas White, Afyon Tiger Skin Marble, Bilecik Pink, Elazığ Cherry, Dinar Beige, Gölpazarı Beige, Söğüt Beige.

Marble Slab

Slab marble is formed by processing large and molded marble blocks, which are carefully cut from quarries, into slabs of marble after they arrive at the factory. However, since the blocks cut from the quarries are generally of standard size, the dimensions of marble slabs are generally the same in length and width. Marbles cut in different sizes depending on the need for marble slab thicknesses are not ready to be processed in this state. Depending on where it will be used, the factory stages are as follows; cutting with a circular saw, slab application according to the desired size, honing or matting process, polishing-polishing and marble slab wiping process. In addition, if necessary, the flame burning technique, which aims to eliminate the slipperiness of the marble (Havuz, hamam). Acid washing technique, aging application, hammering technique (the aim here is to make the marble floor patterned), sandblasting application, filling process (aims to eliminate unwanted roughness on marble), natural sizing application (round marble plate, square marble plate, rectangular marble plate, pentagonal marble plate, etc.).

Marble slabs are cut and sized according to the areas to be used. While marble is cut differently for floors, it is cut differently for kitchen countertops. In applications such as marble sculptures or marble vases, marble slabs are not used, work is done directly on the marble block. Marble slab sizes can be almost as much as the size of the slab in relation to the surface width of the application area in marble fountains or marble wall coverings. As the desired dimensions increase, the wall thickness of the marble is also increased. Thus, its durability is also increased. The size of marble slabs varies according to the size of the marble blocks. When working with veined marble blocks, the cut blocks can be cut small in order to avoid casualties and in this way, no casualties are given during plate cutting.

Marble Slab Price

Marble slab prices directly depend on the quality of the quarry from which the marble blocks are extracted. In addition, whether it is domestic or imported is another criterion for marble slab prices. In addition, onyx marble slab prices are relatively more expensive than normal slab marble prices because they are more difficult to find products. Marble slab prices in Afyon, Istanbul and Antalya play a decisive role in the marble slab market prices in Turkey. Marble Block

These are the areas where marble blocks are extracted by industrial machines using various methods. Marbles are cut and extracted as raw stone from these areas, loaded onto transportation vehicles by large excavators and sent to factories for processing. Before the marble blocks are extracted, the marble quarry capacity must be examined with underground sonars. In addition, tests for the suitability of the marble for the conditions of use and the necessary chemical analyzes must also be carried out. After these stages, marble products that are processed in factories and approved for sale can be put on the market. Marble blocks are cut in accordance with the needs in the factories and made ready for use as marble slabs or marble pieces if chiseling is to be done.

From these products, materials such as coffee tables, sinks, countertops, floor and wall covering materials, etc. are produced according to demand. In addition, block graves are also produced from these marble products used in tomb construction. Block tombs are preferred for their durability. Please contact for blocks.

Marble Block Prices

After the marble blocks are supplied from the quarries, they can be sold from the factory.  We can sell on ton basis as well as cubic meter account sales applications. Our block marble products are presented according to demand by determining the price list according to their structures in different features, patterns and colors. The fact that marble products, whose usage areas are increasing day by day, are offered to the market as raw block marble as they are obtained from quarries has given a serious impetus to marble production.
